Rotorblade Technician

Your Tasks

• Rotor blade repair: Evaluation of findings according to defect catalogue, communication with 1st level support and execution of the repair guideline per blade and WEC type. Repair must be conducted with proper tools, materials and in compliance with all safety regulations, with the use either of crane or blade platform. Proper reporting of repair in EMC system respectively.
• Rotor blade maintenance: The condition of the blades are evaluated from 1st and 2nd level support. Maintenance is scheduled if necessary by the use of crane or blade platform. All work and safety guidelines must be followed and a report of activities is generated.
• Rotor blade inspections: Inspection is distinguished in internal and external with appropriate tools. Findings are reported in EMC system for further analysis of the condition of the blade.
• Completion of open works of wind turbines: Records after blade activities the open works of WEC (notifications). Orders material if necessary and plans the completion according to notification’s priority.
• Follows health & safety rules: According to knowledge and expertise identifies hazards and ensure the safe execution of activities. Apply and safeguards Health & Safety procedures according Company’s and local regulations. 
• Proper & on time preparation and submission of service reports. Submits maintenance, protocols, and repair’s hourly reports through EMC system. Responsible for the accuracy and on time completion of abovementioned reports.
• Plan & submit material orders, monitor material stock: Evaluates stock and places material orders prior to maintenance and repair activities. Assigns materials at work orders through system.
• Participation as assistants in installation and service activities: When activities regarding blades cannot be executed, blade technicians assist in installation, updates and service activities according to their skills and experience.

Your qualifications

• Technical education in the Electrical or Mechanical field (EPAL, IEK, TEI)
• English language skills
• Computer literacy
• Availability to travel
• Health condition that allows working at heights
• Driving licensePractical, hands-on approach
• 1-2 years of employment as a technician (preferred)
