Chief Engineer (m/w/d)

Your Reponsibilities:

  • Technical leadership of the entire product. Co-lead of project jointly with Product Project Lead
  • Coordinate the overall technical development, combining the individual systems in a project
  • Ensure technical integration of turbine development, incl. specification sheet
  • Ensure technical development milestones according to agreed time schedule
  • Lead and coordinate team of Project Engineers
  • Ensure adherence to Product Developement Process

 

Your Tasks:

  • Create the Turbine System Architecture 
  • Coordinate important interface adjustments (e.g. speed, pitch control, cooling concept, yaw control, power train, power curve)
  • Coordinate and track the system requirement specification
  • Support the creation of component specifications for “externally developed” components/systems
  • Prepare and consolidate specification documents, incl. contribution of the overall system (product specification, design description)
  • Support evaluation of make-or-buy decisions
  • Assess technical project risks and coordinate remedial measures

 

 

Your Qualifications:

  • Deep technical knowledge of entire WEC
  • Leadership experience
  • Practical and theoretical project management knowledge (incl. tools and methods)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Conflict management (incl. escalation / taking measures)
  • Solution-oriented way of working
  • Ability/Knowledge of System Thinking (Optimising the whole system and not subsystems - calculating tradeoffs
