Engineer Main Power Converter System (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • Model-based design of the main inverter system at system, subsystem and component level
  • Further development of the existing model infrastructure
  • Supporting concept and feasibility studies with modeling
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation with the main converter software development department
  • Specification of main converter systems for wind turbines including complex functional requirements and test specification
  • Coordination of functional interfaces & test systems with surrounding systems of the electrical drive train
  • Verification and validation (V&V) of the main converter system at system, subsystem and component level
  • Continuous improvement of the requirements and V&V methodology of main converter systems
  • Development-accompanying testing on MiL, HiL, B2B test benches or prototype turbines
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary internal and external partners

 

Your Qualifications

  • Master's degree or doctorate in electrical engineering, mechatronics or comparable qualification
  • Experience with model-based development approaches (Matlab, Simulink, Simscape) and CI/CD tools
  • Profound knowledge with power electronics, design and inverter topologies
  • Knowledge of main converter systems and their requirements (requirements engineering), verification and validation methods as well as associated standards
  • Know-how with industrial converter systems (e.g. ABB, Ingeteam, GE Power Conversion, HopeWind, Siemens, Vertiv, Woodward) are an advantage
  • Good language and communication skills in English
