YOUR ROLE

 

We are seeking a highly motivated HSE Manager (m/f/d) to join our team, responsible for our Project Management (PM) of Windfarms in a country or several countries in the region Central and North Europe (CNE).

 

The HSE Manager is authorized and is expected to take the necessary measures to guarantee health, safety and environmental protection on our Windfarm-Projects, in line with the country regulations.

 

In detail, you will coordinate the external HSE consultancies working on behalf of Project Management (PM), audit and track the status of implementation of HSE in the windfarm-projects and report to the HSE Director on the performance in completing the actions.

This high profile position will provide coaching and guidance to the General Project Managers and teams and encourage them to develop and improve the HSE standards in the windfarm-projects.

 

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of hazards on sites, a strong interest for communication and collaboration with different departments – but most importantly a passion for all aspects of safety.

 

 

YOUR TASKS

 

 

· Supervise the implementation of ENERCON HSE processes in all projects being developed in the country or geographical area defined

· Maintain an open communication with the Project Director(s) and country teams to ensure alignment and to ensure consistent implementation of ENERCON HSE processes and local legal requirements

· Analyze HSE reports from the projects. Gather and report data on HSE performance (metrics), plan execution, audit corrective actions and incidents

· Prepare communications (i.e. alerts) to disseminate incidents, lessons learned and best practices

· Coach and support the teams in creating a proactive HSE culture

· Perform regular site visits and coachings in the field

· Coordinate the external health and safety professionals/ external HSE service providers working for Project Management.

 

YOUR KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

 

· University degree in engineering studies, e.g. as a safety engineer or safety technician, alternatively comparable professional qualifications and relevant professional experience in managerial positions in the area of occupational safety / HSE / ESH (ideally experience in the wind industry)

· Strong knowledge of the laws, regulations, technical rules and standards relevant to occupational safety

· Experience and enjoyment in a management role overseeing safety programs, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, coordinate, analyze and develop

· Self-initiative and independent working style with ownership and accountability

· Ability to communicate to specific target groups (English communication skills are helpful)

· Strong hands-on mentality and willingness to travel to various sites as well as intercultural awareness
