Senior Engineer Industrial Drives - Pitch, Yaw and Battery Systems (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • Specification of properties and functions of industrial electric drive systems & components (incl. motor-related functions / control) in wind turbines
  • Load analyses to derive requirements and drive system designs for motors, converters and energy storage systems
  • Implementation of software functions for single and multi-axis drives of the yaw and pitch system including model-based development approaches
  • Development of pitch and azimuth system models, as well as their subcomponents and functions in Matlab/Simulink
  • Implementation of concept and feasibility studies
  • Verification and validation of component and system functions as well as new features on HiL and system test benches as well as prototype wind turbines
  • Collaboration in agile development teams, with internal and external partners

 

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification
  • Knowledge in the field of electric drive systems (inverters, motors, sensors, encoders, energy storage, and drive mechanics)
  • Experience with industrial motors, inverter and motion control systems (e.g., ABB, Siemens SINAMICS, KEBA, KEB)
  • Proficiency in model-based development using Matlab/Simulink
  • Solid knowledge in modeling and control of electric drive systems
  • Function-based development approaches, systems thinking, and development according to the V-model
  • Experience in documenting state and timing diagrams, and working with JIRA / Confluence, Git, and Python
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art software functions and algorithms for single- and multi-axis applications is an advantage
  • Experience with HiL systems, Teamcenter, and Polarion is a plus
