Sustainability & Compliance Specialist Operations (m/f/d)

This position can be filled in Germany and Portugal.
Your Tasks
- Analyze, interpret and operationalize sustainability regulations and requirements
- Manage external stakeholder interactions, including the engagement and training of suppliers and subcontractors on sustainability related‑ requirements and processes
- Support projects to implement the sustainability strategy and associated reporting requirements within Operations
- Provide internal consulting on sustainability topics, offering guidance and expertise to operational teams and cross‑functional stakeholders
- Integrate external sustainability demands into internal processes, systems, and structures
- Calculate and prepare CO₂ pricing and emissions data, ensuring compliance with EU mechanisms
- Initiate and support emission‑reduction measures within the supplier network
- Drive cross‑functional collaboration to enable future‑oriented, compliant implementation of sustainability targets
- Deliver internal trainings and workshops on sustainability topics as required
Your Qualificaion
- Graduate degree in sustainability, business administration or technical or related field
- several years experience in data analytics, carbon accounting, energy, auditing, or consulting
- several years of experience in corporate carbon accounting, decarbonization planning, or related sustainability domains; solid knowledge of standards and regulations (e.g., GHG Protocol, CBAM, EU ETS, CSDDD, EUDR)
- Experience in applying AI‑supported tools and methods (e.g., data processing automation, analytics, forecasting, document analysis) to enhance sustainability or compliance workflows
- Strong data‑modeling and analytical skills; proven project‑management capabilities and the ability to prioritize and lead cross‑functional initiatives
- Independent, structured, detail‑oriented working style with a continuous‑improvement mindset
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage
- Preferably international experience and strong intercultural competence
