Location: ENERCON Training Center – Boucherville
Position Type: On-site, Full-time
We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Technical Training Instructor in Electromechanics. This is a new position created to meet our growing needs for on-site training at our Boucherville Training Center.
Our center provides specialized training in health and safety, mechanics, electrical systems, and work tools. These programs are designed for ENERCON Canada employees, suppliers, and external clients from various sectors. Our team currently consists of four instructors and a training coordinator. Reporting to the Training Center Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver theoretical training in electricity and mechanics in classroom settings and conduct practical sessions using simulators at the training center.
- Assess participants’ knowledge and provide feedback.
- Develop course plans, presentations, and related materials.
- Adapt training content from our German headquarters to Canadian and provincial standards.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams and other instructors on wind farm sites.
- Inspect and monitor personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform field interventions (installation or maintenance of ENERCON wind turbines) to stay updated on new practices and procedures.
- Participate in workplace risk assessments.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Post secondary diploma in the field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of energy production control systems, optimization processes, and quality control.
- Experience in the wind industry (asset).
- Autonomous, organized, and proactive.
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written). The work environment is bilingual, and the instructor will deliver training to wind technicians from all regions of Canada.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
- Willingness to travel within Canada and Europe (5–15%).
Skills
- Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces.
- Knowledge of general electrical safety standards.
- Ability to read and apply work instructions and circuit diagrams.
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures.
- Knowledge of PPE and industry safety standards.
