For this position, we offer an annual salary ranging from €64,000 to €68,000 gross (full-time), depending on your experience and qualifications.
We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Specialist to join our team: This position will play a pivotal role in driving various sustainability programs across our worldwide operations, supporting the further development of our sustainability strategy and communicating our sustainability initiatives and successes.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the current sustainability landscape, a strong interest for communication and working collaboratively on sustainability programs with different departments - but above all - be passionate about all aspects of sustainability.

Your responsibilities:
- Actively contribute to the implementation, further development and anchoring of ENERCON’s company-wide sustainability strategy and related roadmaps, including the identification of gaps, priorities and next steps
- Drive the development of customer-oriented sustainability solutions and value propositions in close collaboration with relevant functions
- Coordinate cross-functional and international working groups to support the implementation, integration and tracking of sustainability initiatives, including circularity initiatives
- Monitor and analyze sustainability-related regulations, market trends, competitor activities and stakeholder expectations to derive actionable recommendations for ENERCON’s sustainability strategy, roadmaps and reporting
- Manage the collection, consolidation and quality assurance of selected sustainability steering KPIs for internal steering, decision making and performance tracking
- Lead selected sustainability communications, including the annual sustainability highlight report, and contribute to communication planning for internal and external target groups in close coordination with Corporate Communications and relevant stakeholders
Your qualifications:
- Graduate degree in sustainability or business administration, preferably in the field of circularity, energy, climate change or environment and relevant professional experience in the field of energy, circularity, communication, auditing or consulting
- 3+ years of experience in a position in sustainability
- Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to identify gaps, derive priorities and translate sustainability topics into actionable initiatives
- Excellent understanding of sustainability standards, reporting frameworks and regulatory developments, such as CSRD, Circular Economy Act, etc.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines and lead cross-functional initiatives in a collaborative environment
- Clear communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage stakeholders at different levels and present complex sustainability topics in an accessible way
- Preferably international work experience and intercultural awareness
- Highly articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- Willingness to travel to the headquarters in Northern Germany
