We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Specialist to join our team: This position will play a pivotal role in leading our corporate carbon accounting as well as greenhouse gas reduction forecasting and will support various sustainability programs across our worldwide operations, with a particular focus on carbon reduction initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of corporate carbon accounting and related reporting requirements, a strong background in data modeling, analytics and forecasting, and working collaboratively with different departments - but above all - be passionate about all aspects of sustainability.

This position can be filled anywhere in Germany close to an ENERCON office, with a preference for Bremen.
Your tasks:
- Perform carbon emissions accounting according to GHG Protocol for group-wide Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 categories and for avoided emissions independently
- Process data according to ESRS requirements and document and communicate methodologies and measurement results detailed and comprehensive manner (audit-proof)
- Improve corporate carbon accounting modeling and enhance corporate emission scenario forecasts as well as to coordinate voluntary commitment reporting (e.g. Science-Based Targets Initiative) and ensure associated requirements
- Actively contribute to the execution of the company-wide sustainability strategy and implementation of the respective roadmaps through project management of cross-functional, international teams and working groups, including but not limited to implementation of carbon reduction initiatives
- Support implementation of corporate carbon accounting software solution
- Prepare and present documents and presentations of results and recommendations for additional measures for different stakeholders, including various management levels
Your skills:
- Graduate degree in sustainability, preferably in the field of energy, climate change or environment, and relevant professional experience in the field of data analytics, energy, carbon accounting, auditing or consulting
- Several years of experience in corporate carbon accounting, science-based target setting, implementation of decarbonization action plans, or related fields and knowledge of relevant standards and initiatives (e.g. GHG Protocol, Science Based Targets Initiative, ESRS)
- Sound knowledge of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel, including Macros and VBA
- Highly articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German skills are advantageous
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong data modeling, data analytics and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and lead cross-functional initiatives, in a collaborative environment with an emphasis both on teamwork and individual accountability
- Independent, structured way of working with a focus on details and continuous improvement
- Preferably international work experience and intercultural awareness
- Willingness to travel to the headquarters in Northern Germany
