Contract Manager - After Sales

Onsite / Hybrid / Remote:  Hybrid (< 50% remote)

Our After Sales Contract Managers play an essential role in negotiating new service contracts for our existing customer contracts. You will provide specific contractual expertise and knowledge to the After Sales Manager and communicate regularly with the wider organisation.

The role is a full-time, permanent position and can be based from our Edinburgh or Huntingdon office and offers hybrid working, with travel across the UK. 

 

Your role and responsibilities - Contract Manager, After Sales:

 

Contract management:

  • Lead negotiator for new service contracts or adjustment of existing customer contracts, within the targets and guidelines of ENERCON
  • Responsible for margin definition for ENERCON on new contracts for existing wind farms - closing of contractual agreements, drafting the contractual documents and monitoring of signature process as well as preparation of required documentation
  • Subject matter expert for the After Sales teams, as well as for the Service Department during the operational period of a wind farm on all O&M contract related questions.
  • Development of new contract concepts and products, in cooperation with customers, Service department, Sales and Contract Sales department.
  • Support the Sales department as specialist on O&M and Service Contract related items.
  • Participate in tender preparation and negotiations.

 

Internal consultant:

  • Provide specific contractual expertise and knowledge to the After Sales manager during customer meetings as well as consulting the Service Departments on the content and interpretation of service contracts
  • Participate and support the Sales Department during the tender processes with specific knowledge and expertise on service performance
  • Oversee and monitor the accomplishment of all contractual obligations and warranties out of the service contracts, together with specialists within the After Sales team on each item.
  • Support GSM Contract experts and legal department on contract negotiations - Use provided guidelines, contract blueprints, etc. from GSM and adjust according to regional / local requirements
  • Provision of up to date information about new contracts, conditions and warranties as well as expectations from customers, to internal After Sales and Service departments

 

Professional qualifications and experience

  • Educated to degree or diploma level, ideally in business management or contract management
  • Demonstrable experience in a contract management role is essential
  • Previous experience in an account management or sales environment 
  • Knowledge and experience with contractual, commercial and technical aspects of the energy industry; wind experience is preferred
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Strong communication and contract negotiation skills
  • A high level of commercial acumen
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages, PowerPoint and SAP
  • Full UK Driving License

What we offer you

 

  • A salary of £65,000 - £70,000 per annum and benefits package
  • Your hours of work are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • An overnight allowance is applicable when you are required to travel
