Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Managing the general services (on site or remotely) of the buildings allocated to his/her area of responsibility (Western Europe)
    • Overseeing the day-to-day operational and technical management of buildings and building activities remotely or on site, if necessary, e.g. ordering and monitoring service providers (minor repairs, maintenance, inspections), access control (badges, keys), reception, mail distribution and dispatch, visitor and incoming call management, site security etc.
    • Selection and management of service suppliers, maintaining contacts with external suppliers
    • Drafting contracts concerning facilities, together with the legal department
    • First point of contact for contract management with landlords of the leased properties
    • Follow up on multi-year maintenance plans
    • Checking and updating building-specific databases
    • Ensuring all is compliant with legislative statutory regulations and Health & Safety guidelines
  • Define and manage the roll-out of strategic guidelines for ENERCON-real estate and facilities
    • Propose and coordinate relocation, selling, renting and purchasing of buildings, in function of needs and budget, including contacts with potential buyers/sellers, notaries, lawyers, local authorities and administration
    • Participate in changes to the layout or refurbishment of premises: organizing and monitoring the collection of requirements in terms of building equipment (furniture, etc.)
    • Ensuring all is compliant with legislative statutory regulations and Health & Safety guidelines
  • Achieving and setting up department specific objectives by managing the facility team, planning and evaluating the department activities and personnel, supervising the team and supporting the development of the team.
  • Leading and participating in regional projects within Western Europe
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in the organization of general services by creating or improving processes
  • Travelling to ENERCON locations within Western Europe to set targets, assess performance, do checks and inspections, adjust direction and confer with stakeholders and peers
  • Monitoring, controlling and reporting on facilities budgets
  • Checking and approving of facilities invoices within the authorized budget
  • Delivering monthly reports to the N+1, e.g. sustainability report

 

Concrete projects to be realized in the near future

  • Project development new HQ NL / building Zwolle for Dutch Branch, PM, ESNand region
  • Revamp/develop Ham BE office for Belgian Branch
  • Revamp Jabbeke BE oofice for ENERCON Services Belgium; clean up open issues list like smelly sanitary rooms, leaky window, fire alarm, car charging, solar panels

 

HSE duties and responsibilities

  • Following (safety) instructions
  • Taking care of order and cleanliness of the workplace, working together with the HSE department on coordinating health and safety checks and regulatory requirements at the sites
  • Performing LMRA (Last Minute Risk Assessment)
  • Bearing the PBM’s made available and takes into account the applicable regulations
  • Ensuring safety for him-/herself and others by having a proactive attitude

 

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Knowledge of facilities management and guidelines, legal and local regulations
  • Familiar with technology in relation to building management like building codes incl. electrical, plumbing, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning, Building Management System, environmental measures (ISO 14001), waste management
  • Very good spoken and written communication skills in English, French and Dutch
  • People management and leadership skills: being able to hierarchically manage 6-8 employees directly (supervise, evaluate, set priorities, help the team develop)
  • Excellent planning and organization skills, project management, follow up
  • Positive, pro-active approach, take initiative
  • Experience with purchasing processes and negotiation techniques
  • Diplomatic skills
  • High focus on HSE & Quality regulations
  • High attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, SAP, quick to learn new tools (e.g. TopDesk)
