ENERCON Canada is seeking an experienced and bilingual Commercial Manager to join our team in Montreal, QC. In this role, you will manage client relationships and support wind energy projects across Canada. Acting as the primary point of contact for our customers, you will ensure service excellence, address technical and contractual matters, and identify opportunities for value-added services.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to represent ENERCON and contribute to the long-term success of wind farm operations in Canada. You’ll leverage our advanced direct drive technology while supporting our mission of “Energy for the world” within a dynamic and growing industry.
Your responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels (e.g., Directors of Operations, Procurement Teams, Technical Representatives).
- Act as a technical expert for operational wind turbine projects, offering clear and precise guidance on complex issues.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and advocate for ENERCON’s interests in all customer engagements.
- Lead communication efforts during high-priority or emergency situations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Address and resolve service-related disputes in line with contract terms.
- Identify and develop after-sales business opportunities within the existing client portfolio.
- Facilitate regular operational review meetings with customer teams.
- Support the creation and enhancement of value-added services for operating wind farms.
- Drive cross-functional improvement initiatives to elevate service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present quotations for additional services and after-sales offerings.
- Monitor customer payments and manage any related disputes or escalations.
- Process customer inquiries, monitor material orders, and ensure prompt delivery.
- Coordinate technical requirements with regulatory bodies and utility companies.
- Represent ENERCON at industry conferences, events, and external engagements.
- Maintain accurate customer data and interactions in SAP ERP and SAP CRM.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Ideal profile:
- University degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or technical consulting.
- Proven experience interpreting and negotiating service contracts.
- Solid technical knowledge of wind power systems, electromechanical components, and power electronics.
- Strong project management capabilities with a practical, hands-on mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English; German is an asset.
- Ability to lead virtual meetings and manage customer relationships remotely.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective leadership and influence across multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly organized and capable of juggling multiple priorities.
- Demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Team player with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
- Proficient in MS Office, SAP ERP, and SAP CRM.
- Willing to travel within Canada, the US, and occasionally to ENERCON headquarters in Germany.
