ENERCON is seeking a motivated and skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing the logistics chain, managing transportation, and ensuring smooth operations on our construction sites. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of coordinating logistics processes from the production site to the construction site.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Construction Manager (CM) in ordering the necessary equipment for on-site logistics.
  • Develop logistics and transport concepts in collaboration with the project team, police and other authorities.
  • Enhance the logistics chain from the production site to the construction site entrance and within the construction site.
  • Central Contact Point:
    • Manage transport, customs handling for import/export, non-conformity material deliveries, and crane providers (if not provided by the installation subcontractor).
    • Liaise with production plants regarding operational logistics.
    • Control and monitor cargo handling services at sea and inland ports in coordination with Site Procurement and the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team.
    • Serve as the central contact for road clearance checks and transportation allowances with authorities.
  • Introduction and Support:
    • Introduce the CM and General Project Manager (GPM) to the logistics provider.
    • Clarify the central point of contact on the construction site and within the project for the logistics service provider during delivery phases and in emergency or breakdown situations.
    • Organize material flow on-site if present; otherwise, the CM will handle Site-LoCo tasks.
  • Manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and external suppliers.
  • Execute standard project operational and technical tasks as per instructions and work routines.
  • Define the transport plan and select appropriate carriers.
  • Resolve issues requiring technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
  • Consult senior members for issues outside defined parameters.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships and serve as the interface between customers and ENERCON.

Qualifications

  • Education: Relevant degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Skills:
    • Bilingual in French and English
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
    • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
    • Familiarity with customs regulations and import/export processes.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to travel to various project sites as needed.
