ENERCON North America is seeking a Travel Coordinator to ensure employees have everything they need to travel on behalf of the company in a secure, comfortable, and cost-efficient manner. This role is essential for managing travel requests, negotiating with suppliers, and supporting global projects while maintaining compliance with company policies.
As this position involves frequent communication with teams across Canada and collaboration with global ENERCON teams, fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory, in addition to French. This requirement is necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the role effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Travel Management (Canada):
- Handle employee trip requests and book required travel arrangements.
- Ensure security, comfort, and cost-efficiency for all business trips.
- Provide first-level support for booking tools and ensure compliance with travel policy.
Local & Global Support:
- Act as the first point of contact for country-specific travel information (suppliers, payment methods, etc.).
- Support other Travel Coordinators arranging trips to Canada when necessary.
- Participate in global travel management projects and harmonization of policies.
Supplier & Cost Management:
- Negotiate ENERCON rates with hotels and acquire new suppliers as needed.
- Maintain close contact with Global Procurement and HQ for tenders and negotiations.
- Regular reporting on travel volume and costs.
Administrative & Financial Tasks:
- Check and release travel-related invoices.
- Handle travel credit card statements and perform expense reconciliations.
- Assist with minor office tasks when required.
Requirements
- Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in the travel sector or related field.
- Technical Skills: MS Office (Excel advanced level), SAP, IBM Notes, Online Booking Tools (e.g., Concur).
- Languages: French and English bilingualism required (English is essential for supporting Canadian teams and global ENERCON projects). Portuguese is an asset.
