Job description

Enercon is looking for a Field Area Manager for the semo stations Antwerp and Ham. 

The main responsibility of a Field Area Manager is ensuring an efficient management of the technicians and turbines in his or her region. 

You do this by:

• Promoting continuous improvement;
•  Being available for the technicians in case of questions or remarks; 
• Providing technical and logistical support; 
• Being the point of contact for all the stakeholders concerning the cluster;
• Having efficient communication towards the persons concerned (Technical Support, Planning, OCC, Management, PM, Sales, Clients, Warehouse, Customer Relations, HR, ...);
• Being aware of the ENERCON laws and regulations/local laws related to the wind activity, ensure that they are properly applied and understood by the teams;
• Following up the technicians on various aspects (quality of work, skills and knowledge, safety, working time, material handling, mentality,...);
• Supporting the teams in carrying out their work;
• Writting reports and making suggestions to users about procedures, tools,…
• Having good news/bad news conversations;
• Performing evaluations;
• Defining training needs;
• (Dis)approving leave after consulting the coordinators;
• Being responsible for the “living conditions” and consumables in the service stations in his region;
• Supporting HR in recruiting new technicians; 
• Inspecting the equipment used in your region; 
• Carry out and ensure the regular control of the “quality and safety” procedures for the work carried out by the technical teams;

Job requirements

• Experience as a technician, preferably as a wind turbine technician;
• Experience in a leadership role is a big asset;
• Good practical knowledge of electricity and mechanics, practical knowledge of wind turbines is a plus;  
• Good professional knowledge of Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plus;
• Good communication and people skills; 
• Stress resistant;
• Problem solving mindset;  
• Client and result oriented;
• You attach great importance to safety;
