ENERCON Seeks Electricians for Iceland's First Wind Farm

ENERCON is seeking skilled Electricians to join the team behind Iceland’s first wind power plant, located at Búrfell/Vaðölduver.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a landmark renewable energy project and play a key role in the development of Iceland’s first utility-scale wind farm. We are looking for motivated professionals who are comfortable working at heights and willing to travel as part of their role. The wind farm’s service facility will be based in Hella, Iceland. Start date: January 2027

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on wind turbine electrical and mechanical systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
  • Carry out component replacements and maintain electrical and condition monitoring systems
  • Prepare service reports and record working hours in accordance with company procedures
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and support procurement activities
  • Maintain and care for company service vehicles

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certified Electrician (Journeyman qualification or equivalent)
  • Proven knowledge and experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Ability to work at significant heights and in varying weather conditions
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Valid Category B driving licence
  • Fluency in Icelandic, both written and spoken
  • Basic English language skills
