Shape the future of international project logistics with us.
Join our Shipment Planning team and take responsibility for preparing and coordinating complex ocean transports for national and international projects. In this role, you will connect operational logistics, project requirements, and internal interfaces to ensure transparent, efficient, and reliable shipment planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning ocean transports for national and international projects—on schedule, cost-consciously, and in close coordination with the relevant specialist departments;
  • Consolidating project requirements during the dynamic operational phase to optimize cargo volumes for ocean shipments as effectively as possible;
  • Reviewing network plan requirements and relevant dates in SAP SCM and deriving the necessary shipment planning;
  • Actively monitoring schedule changes and adjusting the system-based planning when network plan dates change;
  • Visualizing shipment data for internal colleagues using common software solutions such as Power BI;
  • Coordinating shipment volumes, material availability, delivery strategies, and potential destination ports with internal interfaces;
  • Providing complete and timely notifications of procurement requirements for ocean-going vessels to Global Procurement or Chartering;
  • Preparing packing lists for shipments as the basis for structured operational execution;
  • Providing central information to internal contacts about upcoming shipments so that downstream processes can be initiated in good time;
  • Taking on a special role within the team, for example in projects aimed at streamlining processes and standardizing data in line with a single source of truth.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for an experienced, structured, and communicative individual who has already independently supported or managed logistics projects. You understand complex operational and project-related interdependencies, can assess requirements from different specialist departments, and reliably translate them into feasible transport and shipment plans. Even in dynamic project situations, you maintain an overview, actively manage coordination, and help prepare international ocean transports efficiently, transparently, and on schedule.

  • Completed commercial vocational training, a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a comparable qualification;
  • Several years of professional experience in transport logistics, project logistics, ocean freight, or a comparable coordinating role; ideally with documented responsibility for logistics projects;
  • Experience in managing, coordinating, or implementing projects within logistics, including schedule, interface, and dependency management;
  • Good understanding of operational logistics processes and the ability to assess schedules, volumes, and dependencies in a structured manner;
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAP SCM, SAP R3, and Power BI is an advantage;
  • Analytical, solution-oriented, and forward-looking way of working, with a high degree of accountability and the ability to identify project progress and risks at an early stage;
  • Strong communication skills when working with internal interfaces, international contacts, and operational partners;
  • Good written and spoken German and English;
  • Interest in developing processes further, improving data quality, and actively contributing to the standardization of working methods.
