About the Role


The Quality Inspector – Installation Works (QIIW) is responsible for ensuring the quality of Wind Energy Converter (WEC) installations by thoroughly checking the work of installation teams, including DOS, tower assembly, WEC assembly, and grid connection activities. This responsibility extends from verifying goods received for each WEC component on the construction site through to the finalisation of installation and grid connection works. Serving as the quality eye on the construction site, the QIIW acts as a valuable partner to the Project team and ensures the correctness and completeness of all related documentation.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the quality of the installation work on assigned projects.
  • Active follow-up during installation according to checklists and quality witness points.
  • Checks whether quality standards are met during witness points of Turbine Installation and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
  • Identifies installation quality deficiencies and supports corrective measures.
  • Records all detected nonconformities related to installation works.
  • Collects and reviews installation documentation defined in the ITP.
  • Identifies causes of quality defects where possible.
  • Monitors incoming goods inspection by random checks.
  • Supports quality reporting and database reporting.
  • Ensures full compliance with HSE standards and regulations.

 

Secondary Responsibilities

 

  • Assistance with resource management on site.
  • Assisting in project-internal transportation and materials management.
  • Monitoring correct handling of operating equipment, vehicles, and tools.
  • Involvement in special projects.

 

Professional Requirements

 

  • Mechanical or electrical background.
  • Knowledge of wind turbines or heavy machinery is beneficial.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance is beneficial.
  • Construction work experience is beneficial.
  • Able to work at height.
  • Willing to spend 80% of time on business trips.
  • Fluent in Korean and English.
  • Valid car driving license is mandatory.
